Our optometrists have the skills and experience that make comprehensive eye exams go smoothly. They begin each exam by asking you questions about your eyes in order to check for degeneration or other possible eye issues.

What is an Eye Exam?

An eye exam includes examining and testing a number of different factors related to the overall health of your eyes. In addition to determining what your prescription is for corrective lenses, our doctors of optometry also check for a number of eye diseases including:

  • Macular degeneration

  • Cataracts

  • Glaucoma

  • Dry eye

  • And more

By utilizing a variety of tools and bringing their knowledge to bear, our doctors will be able to determine exactly what is going on with your eyes. Our team has the latest training and technology at their disposal in order to provide you with the most thorough examinations and treatments possible. To learn more, contact our office today.

Do I Need an Eye Exam?

The answer is probably yes. If you haven’t gotten an eye exam in the last year, or you have noticed that you’re having trouble seeing, you are getting frequent headaches, or your eyes hurt, it is a good idea to schedule an exam. The sooner we figure out any problems, the sooner we can begin treating them.

If your eyes feel fine but you don’t remember the last visit you had with an optometrist, an eye exam is still important. When you get regular check-ups on your eyes (just like you do with any other part of your body), you are helping your doctor establish a baseline that makes it easier to determine when something has gone wrong.
